I asked the surgeon to make the incisions as symmetrical as possible and as tight as possible. There was some extra skin but that was removed later during a scar revision by a plastic surgeon. I was relatively happy with this as a first step.

Please excuse the un-shaven-ness. That tube on the bottom right is the drain--by far the WORST thing about the whole process is the drain. You do a little dance and sing a little song when those things get yanked.
Looks kinda like a zipper. Lol.
